Description
Registered Nurse (Labor & Delivery)
Location: Corsicana, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM), 3 shifts per week (Sunday through Saturday)
Hours per Week: 36
Call Requirement: None
Floating: Not required
Block Scheduling: Not allowed
Maximum Requested Time Off: 36 hours
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units (Nursery experience preferred)
- Patient ratios vary by unit:
- Labor: 1:1-2
- Nursery: 1:6
- Postpartum: 1:6
- Mother-Baby couplets: 1:3
- Unit size: 14 beds
- Electronic Medical Record system used: Centricity
- Scrub color: Any solid color; OR scrubs provided if necessary
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Postpartum nursing experience
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
