Job Opportunity: Technologist - X-Ray (Night Shift)

Location

• Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Employment Type

• Temporary contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Night shift
• 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed

Job Description

• Average of 100 patient scans per day across all technologists
• Strong operating room competency and experience required
• Equipment experience required/preferred:

  • Required: Phillips diagnostic equipment, GE OEC C-arm
  • Preferred: Carestream portable equipment, Fluoro experience
  • Highly preferred: Siemens Cysto equipment
• EMR system: EPIC
• Orientation provided (starting 6/15)

Required Qualifications

• ARRT certification (mandatory)
• Minimum 24 months of X-Ray experience in a clinical or hospital setting
• Active Iowa radiology license highly preferred; non-licensed candidates may apply but must obtain license upon acceptance
• Valid driver’s license
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Skills checklist specific to X-Ray discipline required
• Professional reference or performance evaluation from within the last 24 months preferred

• Employee separation policy restricts past employees of the hospital system from working travel contracts in other markets within 12 months
