Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technician (CST) - Operating Room
Location
- Atlantis, Florida

Unit Information
- Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
- Number of open heart rooms: 2
- Number of hybrid rooms: 1
- Staff on unit: 1 Charge RN, 5 RNs, 2 Scrub Techs
- Shift details:
- Day shift: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with on-call evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Night shift: On-call only
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Call requirements: Evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must live within 30 minutes of the hospital for call response
Typical Procedures
- Open heart surgeries including:
- Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
- Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR)
- Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR)
- Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) implantation
- Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)
- Aortic dissections and repairs
- Elephant trunk procedures
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
- Mitral valve clips
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) repair
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) technologist experience
- CVOR technologist experience within the last year
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
Additional Information
- Dress code: Hospital-issued scrubs
- Must be adaptable to a fast-paced unit and able to function independently
