Emergency Department RN - Contract Position

Location: Rushville, Illinois
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour night shifts (6:30pm to 7:00am), rotating weekends and holidays
Schedule: Days may vary based on department and hospital needs

Job Summary

• Responsible for the care of an assigned group of patients in the Emergency Department.
• Delegated administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for assigned duties.
• Duties may include related or logical assignments beyond those explicitly stated.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with at least 1 year within the last year.
• Current certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
• Current certifications in NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), ATT (Advanced Trauma Training), CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course), RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant), AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses), NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale), STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab work, Emotional Support), ASLS (Advanced Stroke Life Support), NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting), APHON (Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses), CCMA (Certified Clinical Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), and C-EFM (Certified in Electronic Fetal Monitoring).

Additional Information

• No prior nursing experience required.
• Rotating weekend and holiday shifts.
