Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Rapid Response

Location: Arlington, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 6 weeks
Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM (Night Shift)
Hours per Week: 48 hours


Unit Information

  • Unit: Labor and Delivery / OB Emergency Department
  • Number of Beds: 23
  • Patient Ratio: 2:1
  • Staffing (Night Shift): 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 1 CST, 1 Secretary
  • Electronic Medical Record System: CPN/Meditech
  • On Call Requirement: 1 shift every 4 weeks
  • Floating: Within Women’s unit (Postpartum/Antepartum)

Job Description

  • Provide rapid response nursing care in a high-risk obstetrics environment
  • Typical procedures include managing magnesium and insulin drips, circulating and scrubbing in surgeries
  • Work in a fast-paced, high volume, high-risk OB setting
  • Team-oriented environment; ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys staying busy
  • No special scheduling or return-to-office requirements
  • Start date within 5-7 days of offer

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
  • One year or more of total travel nursing experience
  • Experience working with high-risk patients in obstetrics
  • Rapid Response nursing experience
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in OB Emergency Department (OBED)
  • Experience in high-risk, high-volume obstetrics

Additional Notes

  • Candidates without the required certifications and travel experience will not be considered
  • Competitive market; strong skills and experience in high-risk OB care are highly valued
  • Unit has a supportive team with experienced staff and access to current technology and equipment

This position is ideal for experienced travel RNs specializing in high-risk obstetrics who are ready for a short-term, intensive assignment.
