Description
Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Surgery (Travel)
Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse with cardiovascular surgery experience to work in the Operating Room. The role involves circulating RN duties across a variety of surgical specialties including orthopedic, neuro, plastics, vascular, trauma, robotic OB/GYN, and urology cases.
Unit & Work Environment
- Operating Room with 17 beds, staffed 1 RN/1 CST per room, plus turnover staff and 1 charge RN
- 4:1 anesthesia coverage, in-house night shift
- Equipment includes XI Robot, advanced spine technology, and Mako joint robot
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Scheduling includes 3 call shifts (12 hours) per 4-week period; days and nights available
- No floating required
- Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees
- Dress code: Hospital-provided scrubs
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience, including experience within the last year
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Thoracic surgery experience
- Vascular surgery experience
