Electrophysiology Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Roanoke, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Schedule:

  • 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
  • Rotating late shifts (all staff rotate staying late if cases extend into the evening)
  • No weekends or call requirements
  • Must be available to work or take call one holiday per 13-week contract (rotational)
• Charting System: Epic required
• Locals: Not accepted (must live a minimum of 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address)
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted

Required Certifications

• ACLS (AHA only)
• BLS (AHA only)
• ARRT (R) with Virginia state license OR CCI RCES/RCIS certification
• Virginia emergency authorization available for travelers with a license pending permanent VA license

Requirements/Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Electrophysiology Technician, with recent experience within the last year
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT (R) certification or CCI certification
• Proficient in dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation

Licensure & Background Requirements

• Active state license required (Virginia license or emergency authorization accepted)
• 7-year background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years (not required annually unless 30+ day break in assignments)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• Education verification of highest earned degree required
• Drug screen: Negative 10-panel within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming freedom from communicable diseases
• Fit test within 1 year of start, updated annually (not required for students)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Required immunizations or positive titers: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Photo for badge required (professional, plain background, no selfies or filters)

Additional Requirements

• Driver’s license/state ID with an address at least 50 miles from the facility required within 48 hours of signing
• E-Verify or attestation required
• Completion of new hire paperwork and compliance documents prior to start
• Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgment required before start
• Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
• Two clinical references required (hospital evaluations accepted)
• Complete employment application/resume required
• Skills checklist updated annually
