Description

Registered Nurse (PACU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Tucson, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
Shift: Four 10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
On-Call: 10-12 days of call within a 6-week period
Floating: May be required if needed


Job Description

  • Provide care to Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) patients.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical staff, and other personnel.
  • Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and hospital policies.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care.
  • Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
  • Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
  • Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
  • Use Cerner EMR system.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Arizona
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 2 years of PACU (Post Anesthesia Care) experience, including experience within the last year
  • ACLS certification
  • BLS certification
  • PALS certification

Additional Information

  • Scrub color is flexible (any color allowed).
  • No options for 48-hour shifts or blocked scheduling.
