Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist - NICU/Pediatrics (Travel/Contract)
Location
- Everett, Washington
- Worksite: Women & Children's Pavilion (Pacific Campus, less than 2 miles from main hospital)
Assignment Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for 1 shift per 2-week period)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Call: Not required
- Floating: Required to float between like units
- Start Date: ASAP
- Locals: Not accepted
- First-time travelers: Accepted

Required Qualifications
- Valid Pediatric Respiratory Therapist license in Washington
- Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- ACLS (American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
- BLS (American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (as applicable)
- Background Check: Must be within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, updated annually
- Education Verification: Required for all candidates
- References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
- Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format
- Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
- Drug Testing: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant tests acceptable with attestation)
- Immunizations and Health Requirements:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer or signed declination
- Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series or signed declination
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer or signed declination
- Flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
- Respirator Safety Clearance: Required annually for travel candidates, includes virtual questionnaire reviewed by healthcare professional
- Fit Mask Testing: Required annually for travel candidates, completed onsite or valid record within 1 year
- Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo with neutral background required
Training & Competencies
- Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules required via LMS platform
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Competency exams and skills checklists updated annually as required
- EPIC training modules required for charting system proficiency
Additional Requirements
- Float Policy Acknowledgement: Candidate must agree to float to other similar units within reasonable distance
- WA State Patrol Search and other state-specific background checks as required by law
- Multi-State Licensed Nurses Demographic Attestation (if applicable)

- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
- No call requirement
- Floating between like units is mandatory
- Locals are not accepted for this travel assignment
