Position Details
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Floating: Yes, position floats between units
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Block Schedules: Yes
- On-call: No
- Patient Ratios: Vary depending on patient acuity
- Special Requirements: Floor care, Emergency Room, code response, rapid response
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Washington
- Respiratory Care Practitioner with at least 1 year of experience
- Respiratory Care Practitioner experience within the last year
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Fit mask test (respirator clearance) required annually for travel candidates
- Immunizations and screenings:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years; declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination (special rules for Alaska placements)
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted
- Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID-19 vaccination record preferred; declinations not required but unvaccinated must follow masking policies
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (10-panel for some Per Diem candidates)
Background and Verification
- Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- Education verification required for all candidates
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years (7 years for APN/Subcontractors)
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years in comparable specialty/setting
- State-specific searches and registries as required by Washington state law
- NURSYS verification for RNs (not applicable here but noted for reference)
Additional Requirements
- Float policy acknowledgment: candidate may be required to float to other facilities within reasonable distance
- Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Badge photo required (passport style with neutral background)
- Epic charting system used at facility (training may be required)
