Description

Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Location: Hermitage, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

Unit: 5th Floor, Main Campus
Number of Beds: 33
Patient Ratios: 6:1 (days), 7:1 (nights)
Staffing: 3 techs per shift, unit secretary on dayshift
Equipment: IVs, Kangaroo pumps, Sequential Compression Devices (SCDs)
Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling: Every other weekend required
Floating Policy: Rotation to other appropriate areas as needed

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
BLS certification
De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting

Additional Information

Unit follows a specific dress code (required uniform)
Candidates should be prepared to float within the unit’s rotation policy
Opportunity to work with experienced staff and utilize current medical equipment and technology
