Job Opportunity: Mammogram Technologist
Location: Craig, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift

Job Summary
The Mammogram Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality mammography imaging procedures for diagnostic purposes. This role includes patient education, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining equipment, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the women's health radiology section.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate mammography equipment following department protocols and FDA guidelines.
- Perform exams with adherence to radiation safety standards (ALARA).
- Verify exam orders and patient identity; provide exam education.
- Review and document patient medical history and obtain informed consent.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Manage daily quality assurance (QA) and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate service repairs as needed.
- Suggest procedural and policy improvements; coordinate training in breast imaging.
- Assist with clerical duties, phone reception, patient transportation, and cross-train staff as needed.
- Order, stock, and maintain supply inventory.
- Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in other imaging modalities and adjusting schedules for calls, overtime, or holiday shifts.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Mammography Technologist license in Colorado
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist, including experience within the last year
- ARRT certification in Radiology (R)
- ARRT certification in Mammography (M)
- Experience as a Radiology Technologist
- Experience as a CT Technologist
- Experience as an MRI Technologist
Preferred Qualifications
- Cross-training in additional imaging modalities such as CT, MRI, and DEXA.
