Description
Job Opportunity: Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Charting System: Cerner
Schedule: Every other weekend required
Float Requirement: Must float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in District of Columbia
- Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience, with Neuro ICU experience within the last year
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Additional Requirements
- Complete facility-specific modules (SITELS) prior to start date
- Valid driver’s license required if driving is an essential job function
- Must complete medication/pharmacology competency exam scoring 80% or higher within 3 years of start
- Color blindness testing required (online or in-person)
- Annual safety manual acknowledgement
- Work history verification covering at least 2 years in the past 7 years, including at least one travel assignment or one month per diem for travel contracts
- Must be willing to wear solid color scrubs without hospital logos (scrubs not provided)

- First-time travelers are accepted
- Local rate applies within 60 miles of facility
- Photo for badge must meet specific criteria (clear, centered, no glare, solid background)
