Description

Registered Nurse (Long Term Care) - Hawaii

Location

  • Hilo, Hawaii

Employment Type

  • Contract
  • Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

  • Work in a Long Term Care facility located on the hospital site.
  • Perform nursing assessments, treatments, and medication administration.
  • Notify MD/NP of pertinent patient information.
  • Manage admitting and discharging processes.
  • Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
  • Provide specialized care including:
    • Gastrostomy Tube care
    • Urinary Catheter care
    • Nebulized Treatments
    • Wound Vac care
    • CPAP care
    • Tracheostomy care
  • Other assigned nursing duties as required.

Shift Details

  • 8-hour shifts
  • Varied schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Flexibility required; no guaranteed hours or shift preference

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii
  • Minimum of 1 year of Long Term Care nursing experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

  • Must arrive the Thursday before assignment start date for employee health appointment on Friday
  • Prior travel experience is required
