Job Opportunity: CVOR Tech

Location: Lubbock, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • Specialty: Surgical Services (Cardio Thoracic & Vascular experience required)
  • Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
  • Patient Ratio: 1:3
  • On-call required for nights, weekends, and holidays (weekends not regularly scheduled)
  • No floating between units

  • Dress Code:
    • Licensed nursing personnel wear solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs (no print tops except in specific pediatric and women's services units)
    • Unlicensed personnel wear solid hunter green uniforms or scrubs (no print tops except in noted areas)
  • Parking: Free in unrestricted employee/visitor surface lots

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a CVOR Technologist
  • CVOR Technologist experience must be within the last year

Experience

  • Specialty Experience: Cardio Thoracic & Vascular experience required (minimum years not explicitly stated, but must meet or exceed highest stated requirement)

Background and Screening Requirements

  • Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually

  • Drug testing: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (10-panel for some Per Diem candidates)
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
  • Immunizations and health screenings required:
    • TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
    • Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
    • COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations not required)
  • Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates

  • Float policy acknowledgement: Candidate may be required to float to another facility within reasonable distance
  • Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules required via LMS platform

  • Skills checklist required annually for applicable units
