Description
Registered Nurse (Emergency Department) - Travel Assignment
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: Nights, 7 PM – 7 AM
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse coordinates and implements patient care tailored to the age and needs of the patient population on the assigned unit. The role ensures quality, efficient, and safe care consistent with unit standards. The nurse demonstrates professionalism, respect, and effective clinical practice aligned with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial patient assessments and prioritize care based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
- Systematically re-assess patients to monitor progress and identify when interventions are needed.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care within established nursing standards.
- Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on patient outcomes and modify care plans accordingly.
- Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning.
- Document timely interventions and perform Point of Care testing procedures.
- Demonstrate leadership competencies appropriate to role level.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification issued by the American Heart Association
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Certification issued by the American Heart Association
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) Certification
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Certification
Additional Information
- This is a full-time night shift travel position.
- The role involves backfill/replacement staffing.
