Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location

Job Description

  • Provide therapeutic care to all patient populations.
  • Review and maintain care plans; perform patient evaluations and adjust care as needed.
  • Participate in team-based care for distressed newborns and C-section deliveries.
  • Utilize respiratory care equipment including Servo ventilators, BIPAP (V-60, Vision), Airvo, MetNeb, and Neo-Tee.
  • Use Epic EMR for computerized charting and medication/supply scanning.

Work Environment

  • 250-bed hospital with a 12-bed ICU.
  • No floating to other units.
  • Shift options: 3 AM – 3 PM or 3 PM – 3 AM.
  • Call when needed; every other weekend required.
  • Will not work alone.
  • Dress code: Black scrubs.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Indiana
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • NRP

Orientation & Training

  • Department-specific training up to 3 weeks.
  • Required Epic EMR training by assigned trainer.
  • Orientation completed after preceptor observation and check-off.

Schedule & Hours

  • 12-hour shifts.
  • 36 hours per week.

Additional Notes

  • Call off or cancellation allowed up to 24 hours before shift.
  • Non-billable orientation hours: 8 hours.
  • Clinicians returning within 12 months of last worked date are not eligible for non-billable orientation.
