Nuclear Medicine Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Avon, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Nuclear Medicine Tech)
• Shift: Day shift, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
• Hours: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (40 hours/week)
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics

• Charting System: Cerner

• May float within scope to other facilities based on need
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Indiana
• Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification (AHA or RQI accepted)
• CNMT or NMTCB certification
• Experience with Cerner

Additional Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy)
• Background checks including 7-year history, criminal, sex offender, FACIS Level III, education verification, and international search if applicable
• State license verification within 30 days before start
• Physical exam completed within 12 months of start
• Fit mask test within 12 months of start with approved respirators (3M N95 models or Honeywell N95)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (no instant tests)
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (no declinations accepted)
  • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination
  • Tuberculosis test (PPD, QuantiFERON-TB Gold, or T-SPOT) within 1 year of start; if positive, chest x-ray required within 2 years
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap strongly recommended (not required)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (9/30 - 3/31)
• Color blind testing (Ishihara exam or equivalent) with 100% minimum score
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology test as applicable
• Minimum of 2 professional references from recent employment verified within 2 years (must be from charge, manager, supervisor, or above)
• Current employment application with full work history and explanation of any gaps over 30 days
• Skills checklist completed within 12 months and annually thereafter

• On-site fit testing available only as a last resort and with approval
