Description

Pediatric Audiologist (Travel Position)

Location: San Antonio, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Travel, Part Time


Job Summary

  • Provide diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology services for the pediatric population.
  • Perform a variety of hearing tests including visual reinforcement audiometry, conditioned play audiometry, conventional audiometry, otoacoustic emissions, auditory brainstem response, acoustic immittance testing.
  • Fit and manage hearing aids, bone-conduction hearing aids, cochlear implants, and earmolds.
  • Interview parents and communicate results effectively.
  • Plan and coordinate follow-up care and provide parent education.
  • Assess communication skills and developmental milestones in children.
  • Ensure safety, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA and departmental policies.
  • Maintain organized, professional work areas and complete accurate documentation.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) required.
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas required.
  • ASHA or ABA certification required.
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association required.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of pediatric experience within the last year required.

Additional Information

  • The clinic opens June 15th; initial training and possible floating may occur at an alternate location if hired by that date.
  • Patient population primarily pediatric with diagnostic audiograms.
