Description

Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Position

Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel


Job Overview

  • Work within the Therapy Department (not a specific unit) in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Patient ratios: approximately 10-12 acute care patients and 4-5 inpatient rehab patients.
  • Typical duties include evaluations and regular therapy interventions.
  • Floating assignments across all acute care departments in the hospital.
  • Dress code: Hunter Green scrubs.
  • Rotation includes at least one weekend day per month (Monday-Friday) or Tuesday-Saturday.
  • Scheduled hours: approximately 36 hours per week, day shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM).

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Texas
  • Current BLS certification
  • Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
  • OTR Certification
  • Experience in an inpatient setting
  • Experience in a rehabilitation setting

Work Environment

  • Department includes Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Language Pathology staff (total ~50 staff including PRNs).
  • No night shifts available.
  • Use of typical therapy equipment; specific EMR system not specified.

Additional Notes

  • Candidates without acute care experience will not be considered.
  • Preferred candidates have inpatient rehab experience.
  • Best personality fit is important for this role.
