Description
Job Opportunity: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)
Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Start Date: ASAP with weekly orientation
Job Description
- Position requires Neuro/Spine surgical skills.
- On-call responsibility: up to 6 calls per 6-week schedule; must respond within 60 minutes.
- Primary surgical specialties involved: Neurosurgery, Orthopedics (including spine surgery), and Plastics (especially reconstructive).
- Surgery cases include General, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, and Plastics.
- Experience with advanced surgical robots (Xi, Si, Ortho/Neuro robots, deep brain surgery robot) is noted.
- Charting system used: Cerner.
- Scrubs provided.
- Time off: 3 days per 13-week contract.
Required Skills & Experience
- Valid Surgical Technologist license in District of Columbia
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist
- Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required (AHA or ARC)
