Physical Therapist (Contract) – Candler, NC

Job Summary

Provide physical therapy rehabilitation programs to improve patient mobility, function, and strength in an outpatient clinic setting.

Contract Details

• Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (40 hours/week), with possible alternative schedules
• Employment Type: Contract
• Work Environment: Outpatient physical therapy clinic

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients using physical therapy and rehabilitation techniques
• Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Aides in all aspects of patient care
• Communicate with physicians and healthcare team to ensure quality patient care
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow up on prescriptions, test results, and authorizations
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking safety, including lifting up to 50 pounds
• Participate in business marketing and referral processes as needed
• Adhere to HIPAA policies and protect patient privacy in compliance with federal and state laws
• Follow OSHA and other regulatory requirements
• Use computer skills including typing, Word, Internet, and EMR systems
• Be physically mobile during work hours, including sitting, walking, standing, bending, and lifting

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in North Carolina
• Degree in Physical Therapy
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist, including experience within the last year
• Experience in supervisory roles
