Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

Job Description

• Assess physiological, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients within the assigned unit.
• Plan and implement nursing care to meet patient needs.
• Lead and oversee subordinate personnel to ensure nursing care plans are executed.
• Conduct patient evaluations, document patient progress, and participate in treatment planning and discharge functions.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current CVICU experience.
• Open-heart surgery experience required.
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (agency IL nursing license must be included with submission).
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations are mandatory; declinations will not be approved.
• Submission must include: resume, skills checklist (within 1 year), 2 supervisory references, active certifications, active license, and COVID vaccination status.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system.
• Experience in thoracic, vascular, and interventional nursing.
