Registered Nurse (RN) – Electrophysiology Lab (EP) (Days)

Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work primarily in the Electrophysiology Lab with required experience in Electrophysiology (EP).
• Must have 24 months of recent experience in Electrophysiology/EP, Cardiac Cath/CCL, or Interventional Radiology/IR.
• Required to float to a nearby facility when needed.
• Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours.
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed.
• Orientation dates available in early July.
• Use of EPIC electronic medical record system.

Required Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification from AHA or ARC.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or ARC.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Skills checklist specific to Electrophysiology/EP, Cardiac Cath/CCL, or Interventional Radiology/IR discipline.
• Professional reference or performance evaluation within the last 24 months preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC CUPID electronic medical record system.
• Cardiac Cath lab experience.
• Prior travel experience is desired but not required.

Additional Information

• Employee separation policy restricts past employees of the health system from working travel contracts in other markets within 12 months unless prior travel contracts were not with this system.
• Call back and on-call pay multipliers apply (details not included here).
• Holiday and overtime pay policies apply.
