Sonographer – Maternal Fetal Medicine

Location: Marshfield, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday)
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Weekend/Holiday/Call Requirements: None

Job Overview

• Perform Maternal Fetal Medicine sonography including:

  • OB extended ultrasound, OB follow-up
  • Umbilical artery and middle cerebral artery dopplers
  • 1st trimester screening, biophysical profiles
  • Fetal echo, twins and triplets imaging
  • Transvaginal and PR interval studies
• Average 8 to 10 studies per day
• Potential to work 2 days per week on a mobile unit traveling up to 2 hours to outreach locations (10-hour days, sole tech with driver) starting in September
• Department currently has 3 scanners/rooms, possibly adding a 4th temporary room

Equipment & Systems

• Ultrasound machines: Phillips Epiq and GE Voluson 18
• Software: Syngo Dynamics, Cerner, Syngo Workflow

Scheduling & Work Environment

• Fixed schedule, no self-scheduling
• No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
• Dress code: Business casual or scrubs (scrubs not provided)
• Must clock in and out at the facility

Required Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
• Ultrasound Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Nuchal Translucency (NT-FMF) certification
• Experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography

Additional Information

• No IV starts required
• Radiologist available in-house
• No use of Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA)
• Department-specific orientation in Maternal Fetal Medicine
