Description
Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
Location
- Irving, Texas

- Travel assignment
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Shift Details
- 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- 36 hours per week
- 4 weekend shifts per month
- No call requirements
Unit Information
- Labor & Delivery unit with 12 beds
- Patient ratio: 2 patients per nurse
- Unit staffing includes 1 unit tech per shift and 1 unit secretary on day shift
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Floating as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- RNC certification
- Experience with Meditech documentation system
Procedures Performed
- Circulate C-sections
Dress Code and Appearance Guidelines
- Facility provides scrubs (scrub color designated for RNs)
- Nails must be clean and healthy
- Hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors
- Beards, mustaches, and sideburns must be clean and neatly trimmed
- Body art should be covered whenever possible; uncovered body art will be addressed individually
- Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
