Radiation Therapist Travel Position

Location: Kansas City, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours (Monday through Friday, day shifts)

Unit Overview

• Radiation Oncology unit with 490 beds
• Staffing includes 4 Radiation Therapists and 2 Radiation Oncology RNs
• Equipment used: Truebeam and iX linear accelerators
• Documentation systems: Mosaiq and Meditech
• Procedures performed:

  • VMAT (Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy)
  • 3D treatments
  • SRS (Stereotactic Radiosurgery)
  • SBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy)
  • Emergency treatments such as SVC syndrome, heterotopic bone, whole brain treatment, and spinal cord compression
• Certifications held by the facility: The Joint Commission, American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer
• Dress code: Grey or charcoal grey scrubs required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiation Therapist license in Missouri
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist, including experience within the last year
• ARRT (T) certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
