Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

Job Details

• Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (4x10 hour shifts)
• Call Requirement: 40-60 hours of call over a 6-week schedule
• Average Census: 70-80 patients
• Unit Beds: 24
• Special Equipment: DaVinci XI Surgical System
• Patient Care Areas: Circulate, General, Orthopedics, Robotics, Gynecology, Thoracic, ENT, Oral, Urology, Whipple, Plastics (free flap), Liver resection (all within the last 3 years)
• Charge Nurse Experience: Preferred but not required
• Locals: Not accepted for this position

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) nursing experience, with OR experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience in Orthopedics, ENT Surgery, OB/GYN, Thoracic Surgery, Urology, and Plastic Surgery

• First-time travelers are accepted
• Indiana RN travelers are restricted from working at this facility effective 11/30/2024, except for Perioperative/OR, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers (including ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS) who are exempt
• On-site fit testing is limited and requires prior approval; PAPR use requires facility approval except at certain campuses where it is automatically approved
• Mandatory completion of required training modules may apply depending on discipline (e.g., RRT candidates)
• Valid driver’s license or passport required for identification purposes
