Description
Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical
Location: Canton, Georgia
Unit: Acute Neuro Unit (612C)
Shift: 12-hour Nights
Hours per Week: 36
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide nursing care for patients recovering from acute illnesses or surgery, including neurosurgery, neurology, ear, nose and throat surgery, and general surgery.
- Care for patients who are ambulatory and able to provide some of their own care, as well as those who are bedridden and require total care.
- Continuous assessment of patient needs is required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the Acute Neuro specialty.
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Certification or competency in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
