Job Opportunity: CST/ORT - Operating Room
Location
- Denver, Colorado
Employment Type
- Travel assignment
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- Flexibility for day/evening hours as needed
- Call required
Unit Information
- Operating Room with 14 ORs
- Staff includes charge nurses, RNs, surgical technologists (ST), patient care technicians (PCTs), anesthesia techs (ATs), and trauma team members
- Patient ratio approximately 1:1 (estimated, not guaranteed)
- Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
Typical Procedures
- Neurosurgery and transplants
- Orthopedic and spine surgeries
Required Qualifications
- Valid Surgical Technician license in Colorado
- Surgical Technician with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or NBSTA certification
- DORA certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Level I trauma experience
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
