Description

Registered Nurse Radiation Oncology

Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, weekdays (36 hours/week)


Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Colorado
  • Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Minimum 2 years of total travel nursing experience
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Job Description

  • Provide nursing care in a fast-paced radiation oncology clinic environment
  • Coordinate oncology patient care with interdisciplinary team members
  • Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team, both verbally and in writing
  • Deliver care to patients across various age groups, developmental stages, and cultural backgrounds
  • Manage chronic illnesses and comorbidities in oncology patients
  • Apply current knowledge of hematology/oncology, internal medicine, immunology, pharmacology, and community health
  • Maintain awareness of latest evidence-based oncology protocols and cultural sensitivity practices
  • Adapt quickly to changing clinical situations and maintain high organizational skills

  • Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility (radius rule)
