Staff Pharmacist - Days

Location: Lancaster, Ohio
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM with every 6th weekend coverage (subsequent days off during the week)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Summary

• Provide pharmaceutical care including monitoring, evaluation, and assurance of medication quality and safety.
• Dispense medications and process medication orders accurately.
• Communicate drug information to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Participate in drug therapy management during medical emergencies.
• Coordinate daily pharmacy technician activities to meet patient and departmental needs.
• Perform duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pharmacist license in Ohio.
• Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience, including experience within the last year.

Physical and Work Environment

• Medium physical demand: lifting up to 20-50 pounds occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently.
• Work involves analytical thinking, problem-solving, memory, and creativity.
• Potential exposure to electrical equipment.
• Requires strong communication, collaboration, prioritization, and judgment skills.
