Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Shift: Nights (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM)
Schedule: Every other weekend
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide respiratory therapy services primarily during night shifts.
- Work every other weekend as part of the schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Oklahoma.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, with experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential.
- Associate's degree required or completion of at least 20 quarter hours of science coursework.
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID.
- Completion of a 7-year background check within 1 year of start date, including education verification.
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start.
- Physical exam within 12 months of start.
- Fit test for approved masks within 1 year of start, renewed annually.
- Immunization and health requirements:
- Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years.
- Negative TB test (2-step PPD, QGOLD, or TSPOT) within 1 year.
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required.
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted.
- Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented chickenpox history.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31).
- Completion of required competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable.
- Annual renewal of unit-specific skills checklist.
- Employment application and 7-year work history verification required.
Additional Notes
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
- Orientation and safety manual acknowledgment required.
- Some certifications such as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP), and others may be required as applicable.
- Candidates must comply with internal verification processes including E-Verify and federal exclusion screenings.
