Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse

Location: Jupiter, Florida
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Call Requirement: Takes call approximately 10-12 days per month
• Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Emergency contact form completed prior to start
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year residence/work/school history
  • Sex offender registry check
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (annual)
• Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required before start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting)
• Physical exam within 6 months to 1 year of start date
• Fit mask test within 12 months of start (new contracts only; may be completed onsite if not available)
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (2-step TB skin test or equivalent within 3 months acceptable)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Proof of immunity or vaccination per birth year guidelines
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer, vaccination series, or declination with negative titer
  • Varicella: Proof of immunity, vaccination, or history of chickenpox
• Drug screening: 9 or 10 panel drug screen within 30 days to 1 year of start (instant acceptable)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required year-round
• COVID-19 vaccination proof required prior to start (exemptions accepted with appropriate documentation)

Competency Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (minimum 80% or meet Angoff score)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for all RNs

Additional Information

• HealthStream training modules to be completed during downtime in the first week
• Facility parking registration form must be completed
• References:

  • 2 professional references required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles (within 3 years)
  • 1 professional reference for per diem non-acute care roles
• Skills checklist required annually

This position is ideal for experienced CVOR RNs licensed in Florida who are comfortable with call responsibilities and meet the outlined certifications and compliance requirements.
