Pacemaker Technologist

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 07:00 AM – 03:30 PM

Job Description

• Perform duties as a Pacemaker Technologist.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cardiac Device Technician, with experience within the last year.
• Experience as an Electrophysiology Technician.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• Submit a recent color photo (taken within last 6 months) meeting specific guidelines (plain background, no glasses, symmetrical headshot).
• Provide documentation of immunity or vaccination for:

  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) – two vaccines or proof of immunity via blood test.
  • Tuberculosis (TB) screening within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test), updated if break >6 months.
  • Physician Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 1 year of start date, updated if break >6 months.
• N95 Fit Test completed within 365 days prior to start and updated annually (no exemptions allowed). Respirator Medical Clearance attestation required if fit test is needed.
• Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, including county and international residence/travel history for last 7 years.
• Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start.
• National Sex Offender Registry check within 30 days prior to start and updated annually.
• Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start and annually.
• Education verification of highest level achieved (except CNA).
• Social Security Number trace for last 7 years.
• Two professional references within last 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher.
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission.
• Candidate submission coversheet required for initial assignment.
• Confirmation of Assignment/POI form required for all initial assignments and extensions.

Preferred but Optional

• Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity (strongly preferred).
• Tdap vaccination within last 10 years (preferred).
• Documentation of chest x-ray if positive TB test.
• Name change documentation if legal name differs from credential documentation.

Additional Notes

• No fit testing can be performed onsite; must be completed prior to start.
• Updates to fit testing can be done at specific locations if assignment is extended.
• All background and credential checks must be updated if there is a break in service longer than 6 months.
