Description
ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Abilene, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Provide ICU and Intermediate Care (IMC) level care, managing patient flow with ratios up to 1:5.
- Weekend scheduling is every other weekend (EOW).
- Facility type: Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH).
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
Additional Information
- First-time travel nurses are allowed to apply.
- Healthstream Rapid Registration and ETA training must be completed prior to start.
- Facility requires ongoing compliance with background checks and certifications for contract renewals or extensions.
This position is ideal for experienced ICU RNs seeking a night shift travel contract in a LTACH setting with a structured weekend schedule.
