Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR) Travel Position

Location: Denver, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

• Unit: Operating Room (OR)
• OR Setup: 14 ORs total (1 Hybrid CV OR, 1 Cysto, 12 multipurpose ORs)
• Hospital Beds: 408
• Staffing:

  • 60 full-time employees including OR RNs, CSTs, PCTs, Anesthesia Techs, and leadership roles
  • Day shift: 14-16 RNs and CSTs, 2 Clinical Charge RNs
  • Night shift: 1 Clinical Charge RN, 1 OR RN, 1 CST, with call teams for Neuro, CVOR, and General surgery
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Equipment: Standard OR equipment, Stryker video systems
• EMR System: Meditech

Typical Procedures

• Angioplasty
• Appendectomy
• Biopsy
• Orthopedic and spine surgeries
• Note: No transplant procedures

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience
• Operating Room experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Acute care experience
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience circulating and scrubbing in the OR
• Experience with Meditech EMR

Work Schedule & On-Call

• Shift hours: 7 AM to 5 PM
• On-call required 1 day per week from 5 PM to 7 PM
• Weekend on-call approximately once every 6 weeks when the orthopedic surgeon is on-call
