Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Unit: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
  • Number of Openings: 1
  • Shift: PM
  • Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
  • Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Float Requirements: Float as needed within the facility
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3
  • Unit Beds: 8
  • Patient Type: General/Medical ICU
  • Equipment Used: Ventilators, vasopressors, arterial lines, central venous lines (CVLs), etc.
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Cerner

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Alabama
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including ICU experience within the last year
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Work Environment & Dress Code

  • Scrub Color: Navy scrubs required
  • Attire: Scrubs mandatory; no unacceptable attire specified
