Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Location: Beaufort, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work primarily in the Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology with adult patients.
• Schedule: 4x9-hour shifts (36 hours/week), dayshift Monday-Friday (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM), with rotating evening, night, weekend, and holiday call. Occasional 5x8 shifts as needed.
• Also responsible for duties in the Interventional Radiology holding department.
• Care includes procedural support, pre- and post-procedure care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience with conscious sedation
• Experience in Interventional Radiology

Technology & Documentation

• Experience with Meditech EMR system required.

Compliance & Screening Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service.
• Criminal background check required within 6 months prior to start (or within 30 days for new candidates after 12/14/25).
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and for every contract renewal.
• Drug screening: 10-panel test within 6 months prior to start (or within 30 days for new candidates after 12/14/25). Instant tests not accepted.
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands required.
• Immunizations and titers required or facility-specific declination forms for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer or vaccine series)
  • Varicella
  • Flu seasonal vaccination or declination (year-round)
  • COVID vaccination or declination
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year required; annual TB questionnaire for most units.

Additional Requirements

• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
• Performance evaluations required if previously completed assignments through any agency.
• Completion of facility-specific Relias training modules (~81 modules) prior to first shift and orientation.
• Badge photo meeting facility standards required.
• Signed job description and confidentiality agreements required.
• Skills checklist and internal evaluations may be required depending on prior work history with the facility.
