Description
Registered Nurse (PACU) - Travel/Contract
Location: Greeley, Colorado
Contract Length: 12 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
Work Setting: Outpatient surgery center
Job Description
- Position in Pre-Operative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Specialty experience required in Orthopedics, General Surgery, Total Joints, Ophthalmology, and Gastrointestinal procedures
- Types of surgeries include General, Otolaryngology, Pain Management, Ophthalmology, Gynecologic, Orthopedic, Podiatry, Urology, Hand, Plastic/Cosmetic, and Gastrointestinal
- No weekend shifts or on-call required
- Floating within scope of practice to meet facility needs is expected
- Block scheduling may be accommodated depending on requested days
- Facility provides scrubs (to be changed into at start and out of at end of shift)
- Charting varies by site: some use electronic systems, others use paper charting
- Free parking available
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Specialty experience in Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, and Gastroenterology
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
