Description

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Location: Kingwood, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Emergency Department
Beds: 28
Staff per Shift: 15 (Day and Night shifts each include 1 Charge Nurse, 10 RNs, 2-3 Techs, 1 Unit Secretary)
Patient Ratio: 4:1
EMR System: Meditech
Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs

Job Description

Perform typical ER procedures such as IV starts, blood draws, resuscitation, and EKGs
Work 4 weekend shifts per month; no on-call required
Ideal personality: Active and personable

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Certifications:
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)

Additional Notes

Floating to other units is not required for this role
The unit operates on a 36-hour workweek schedule with weekend shifts included
