Description
Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Assignment
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Rotating weekends)
Hours per Week: 36
Unit & Work Environment
- Unit: 2 South ICU (COVID ICU)
- Number of Beds: 14
- Patient Ratio: 1:2
- High acuity COVID ICU with advanced interventions including VV ECMO
- Equipment: ECMO NxtSTG, CRRT (NxtStg)
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling: 3 shifts per week, every other weekend
- Floating required as needed (all candidates must be willing to float)
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including ICU experience within the last year
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Comfortable managing vasoactive drips
- Strong understanding of hemodynamics
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ECMO and CRRT
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
Procedures Performed on Unit
- ECMO
- CRRT
- Chest tube insertions
- Central line insertions
Dress Code & Appearance Guidelines
- Scrubs: Navy scrub top and pants; navy or white scrub jacket
- Nails: Clean and healthy
- Hair: Neat, clean, no extreme styles or colors
- Facial Hair: Clean and neatly trimmed
- Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible; exceptions addressed individually
- Piercings: Only ear piercings visible; other visible piercings prohibited

- No call requirements
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Unit offers advanced technology and experienced staff in a supportive environment
- Attendance and floating policies apply and will be reviewed during onboarding
