Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - MS/Telemetry

Shift Details

• Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (07:00 - 19:00)
• Weekend shifts required: 6 shifts in 6 weeks (every other weekend)

Unit Specialty

• Adult Medical-Surgical Telemetry (MS/Tele)
• No pediatric patients expected

Patient Ratio

• 1 nurse to 5 patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical Telemetry (MS/Tele) experience, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one prior travel assignment
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Successful completion of the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Valid driver's license if driving is an essential job function
• I9/E-Verify attestation completed prior to start
• Criminal background check within 90 days, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks prior to and during assignment
• Education verification of highest degree required by position
• Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
• Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
• Immunization and health requirements including:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
  • Documentation of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
• N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start, updated annually (client may complete onsite)
• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start date
• Annual competency exams including medication/pharmacology and dysrhythmia/EKG competency (minimum 80% score)

Additional Requirements

• Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
• Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information
• Skills checklist completed prior to start and updated annually

Notes

• Travelers are not expected to hold PALS certification for this assignment
• Orientation is conducted weekly
• Locals within 60 miles may be considered at a different rate (not disclosed here)
• Prior travel experience is required (at least one prior travel or per diem assignment)
