Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Unit Information

Unit: Labor and Delivery / OB Emergency Department
Beds: 23
Staffing (Day Shift): 1 CNC, 6 RNs, 2 CSTs, 3 OR staff, 3 RNs, 1 Secretary
Staffing (Night Shift): 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 1 CST, 1 Secretary
Patient Ratio: 2:1
EMR System: CPN/Meditech
On-call Requirement: 1 shift every 4 weeks
Floating: Within Women’s unit (Postpartum/Antepartum)

Typical Procedures

High risk OB care including magnesium drips and insulin drips
Circulating and scrubbing in procedures

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
Experience working with high risk patients
Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, NRP

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in OB Emergency Department (OBED)
Experience with high risk and high volume OB cases

Work Schedule

Approximately 36 hours per week
