Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Travel Position

Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Neurology, Palliative Care
• Shift: Night
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Number of Openings: 1
• Float Requirements: Must float when needed

Unit Information

• Unit: 5 West
• Number of Beds: 41
• Patient Ratio: 6:1
• Equipment: Alaris IV pumps
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC
• Patient Population: Med/Surg, Oncology, Neuro, Palliative Care

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Alabama
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Nasogastric Tube (NGT) placement skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience specifically in Medical-Surgical nursing
