Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist

Work Schedule
- 12-hour day shifts, primarily weekend coverage (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Typical shift hours: 7:00/7:30 AM to 7:30/8:00 PM
- Orientation: 2-3 shifts during the week, starting on a Monday
- Holiday work expected if it falls on a scheduled workday
- No on-call required
Unit and Patient Information
- Department includes 3 X-ray rooms, 1 X-ray in Emergency Department, and 3 mobile units
- Average patient volume: approximately 100 patients per 24-hour period
- Patient population mostly adults; some pediatric patients age 12 and older (major pediatric traumas are transferred out)
- Common procedures: general X-ray, OR imaging (orthopedic, spine, neuro, pain, urology), fluoroscopy, ER, ICU, inpatient and outpatient imaging
- Experience with O-arm in OR preferred but not required (training provided)
- Fluoroscopy experience preferred but not mandatory
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
- OR experience required
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system required
- Licenses and certifications:
- Valid state license for Radiologic Technologist
- ARRT certification
- BLS certification
Skills and Experience
- Experience with the patient types and procedures listed above
- Ability to float throughout the hospital for portable X-rays and OR coverage
Department Support and Resources
- Lead Technologist available during weekdays; no lead on weekends
- One other technologist on weekends
- Tech on call from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM on weekends
- Multiple technologists available during weekdays
- Transporter available weekdays only
- Respiratory Therapist available 24/7
- Hospitalist coverage 24/7
- Rapid Response/Code Team available 24/7
Technology and Equipment
- EMR system: EPIC (required)
- Imaging monitors: McKesson PACS (preferred)
- Unit-specific equipment includes:
- GE OEC C-arms (preferred)
- Medtronic O-arm
- Del Medical and Radrex X-ray machines
- Cannon portable X-ray units
