Nuclear Med Tech - Radiology
Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Work in a PET/Nuclear Medicine unit within a 321-bed hospital.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8-hour shifts; start times may vary by an hour).
- On-call requirements: 1 weekday call and weekend call every 4th or 5th weekend.
- Potential to rotate to other shifts based on staffing needs.
- Unit uses GE Discovery 630 and GE Infinia equipment, Xeleris 5 software, and GE 8-slice PET CT scanner.
- Documentation system: Meditech.
- Dress code: Gray scrubs.
- Patient experience training required: AIDET.
Procedures Performed
- Nuclear Medicine: Nuclear Stress Test, Cardiac Amyloidosis, MUGA, Parathyroid scans, V/Q with pulmonex, GI Bleed, Hida, Gastric Emptying, Bone Scans, DaTscans, Brain Flow, Renogram, Thyroid Uptake and Scan, Cisternograms.
- PET CT: Oncology, prostate, and amyvid PET scans.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in South Carolina.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, with experience within the last year.
