Registered Nurse - Post Partum/Mother Baby (Travel)

Unit Information
- Unit: Mother Baby
- Number of beds: 26
- Patient ratios: Typically 1:3 or 1:4 (not guaranteed)
- Shift coverage:
- Day shift: 1 Charge RN, 7-8 RNs, 1 Lactation Consultant
- Night shift: 1 Charge RN, 6-7 RNs
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Meditech / CPN
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Maternal-Newborn experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with lactation support
- Experience with patient transitions
Typical Procedures and Responsibilities
- Performing circumcisions
- Educating newborn parents on safety, nurturing, and infant health
- Providing compassionate, patient-centered care with a friendly and can-do attitude
Additional Notes
- Patient care experience is a priority
- The unit values compassionate and caring personalities
