Registered Nurse - Post Partum/Mother Baby (Travel)

Unit Information

Unit: Mother Baby
Number of beds: 26
Patient ratios: Typically 1:3 or 1:4 (not guaranteed)
Shift coverage:
- Day shift: 1 Charge RN, 7-8 RNs, 1 Lactation Consultant
- Night shift: 1 Charge RN, 6-7 RNs
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Meditech / CPN

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Maternal-Newborn experience, including experience within the last year
BLS certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with lactation support
Experience with patient transitions

Typical Procedures and Responsibilities

Performing circumcisions
Educating newborn parents on safety, nurturing, and infant health
Providing compassionate, patient-centered care with a friendly and can-do attitude

Additional Notes

Patient care experience is a priority
The unit values compassionate and caring personalities
