Description
ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Tyler, Texas
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in a Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Charting system: Epic
- Scrub color: Charcoal Grey
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Complete 7-year background check including education verification and nationwide county searches
- E-Verify or attestation as applicable
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, must be renewed annually
- Immunizations/vaccinations required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (boosters required if negative/equivocal)
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
- Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history of chickenpox
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
- Annual unit-specific skills checklist required
- Work history verification for the past 7 years
- Clear headshot photo for badge
Additional Notes
- Candidates residing in certain Texas counties (including Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris) are not eligible for this travel contract
- Orientation and onboarding requirements may include competency exams and safety manual acknowledgements
- Fingerprinting required only for New Mexico placements (not applicable here)
