Description
Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (4 shifts of 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 48 hours
Unit: Medical Surgical (MS)
Float: Yes, will float between units
Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
On-Call: No
Patient Ratio: 1:5
Special Requirements: Epic Hardstop system
48-Hour Shifts: Approved

- Level II Trauma Center
- Total Staffed Beds: 379
Uniform/Dress Code
- Licensed nursing personnel (RN, LVN): solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs (scrub tops may have colored piping)
- Print tops not allowed except in Children’s Hospital and Women’s Services units (L&D, Mom/Baby) which have unit-specific attire
- Unlicensed personnel wear solid hunter green uniforms or scrubs
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
